Fireball marinated chicken meatballs with spicy dip
Suggested drink: Art. no. 332, Fireball Cinnamon & Whisky Liqueur, Canada, 500 ml, 33%.
The liqueur that mixes cinnamon, heat and whisky is irresistibly delicious on its own, but now we want to think outside the box and wonder if it could also work well with a snack – and the answer is yes! It paired well with Bjärekycklingklubbor glazed with Fireball among other things – and a sweet and tangy dip made it a real hit.
Anyone who has ever baked cinnamon buns will be drooling over this cinnamon-spicy liqueur, which also features vanilla and ginger. The flavor is initially sweet and smooth, but quickly becomes spicy with cinnamon, whisky notes and pickled ginger that comes through in the finish, hinting at orange fruitiness.
When was the last time you dared to pair a liqueur with food? Now our chicken meatballs are more like a snack, but oh how good they are together and how nicely the liqueur captures the smoky and chili-spicy elements of the food. The addition of mustard in the chicken’s skin also makes it even more delicious. And of course, the drink is naturally paired with the marinade that was applied to the chicken and the dip. Delicious!
