SIGILL CLIMATE CERTIFICATION
In 2017, Bjärefågel klimatcertifierade enligt Sigills standard IP Kyckling & Ägg, tillval klimat. Det är en certifiering som årligen granskas av ett ackrediterat, oberoende kontrollorgan. Certifieringen ställer krav på att förbättrad djurhållning, effektiv energianvändning, ersättning av fossil energi med förnybar energi och minskad klimatpåverkan från transporter och användning av maskiner inom företaget. Åtgärderna kontrolleras årligen av oberoende kontrollorgan. Enligt beräkningar som ligger till grund för klimatcertifieringen motsvarar kraven en minskad klimatpåverkan på cirka 20–25 procent.
Bjärefågel has worked hard for a long time on environmental and improvement work and has carried out a number of measures in the improvement work. Examples of measures that have been carried out:
• Trained drivers in fuel-efficient driving techniques.
• Kycklingarna äter ett helt vegetabiliskt majsbaserat GMO-fritt foder.
• All el vi köper har ursprungsgarantier för förnybar produktion.
• Stables are heated using renewable resources, such as wood pellets.
Certifieringen kräver löpande nya förbättringsåtgärder, vilket kontrolleras vid den årliga revisionen.
THE SWEDISH BIRD ASSOCIATION CERTIFICATION
As a member of the trade association Stennis FBjärefågel follows industry guidelines regarding animal welfare and environmental work. The certification is under review annually by an accredited, independent inspection body. The certification also covers rules relating to Climate impact.
The certification from Svensk Fbird means among other things At Bjärefågel:
• Following Stennis Birds kqualities– and control programmes.
• Following Stennis Birds Guidelines for transport and slaughter.
Undergoing Training courses on animal health, animal welfare, and food safety.
Swedish poultry is involved in several collaborations, for example with the Veterinary Poultry Disease Research Foundation. And World Poultry Science Association.
