What a day! We have been contacted by radio, newspapers, web media and magazines to a degree I have never experienced before. There have been many positive conversations during the day. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to answer them all (we are a small organization), but we start tomorrow by contacting all missed calls and emails.
The climate certification means that we have minimized the climate impact of our plant-based chicken feed, our farms where the chicken is raised, our production, and our transportation. Svensk Sigill estimates that our measures reduce the climate impact by up to 25 percent. But we are not satisfied; we want to continue finding innovations and ideas that allow us to reduce the climate impact even further.
For my part, I have been in Stockholm today and visited numerous store owners. I have received very positive feedback and many interesting questions. Many placed spontaneous orders. I will continue to visit store owners in Stockholm all week, while my colleagues visit store owners in Gothenburg, Skåne and Halland.
I hope that our climate certification will become a groundbreaking trend among other producers as well. Ultimately, it is up to you and me as consumers to make demands and make active choices.
Finally, thank you for all the attention and positive feedback! A special thank you goes to our production manager Daniel Karlsson, who has worked very hard and with determination these past months to get the climate certification in the port.
