As most of you probably know, our chicken is a mallard chicken. Why then do we call it the Bjäre Chicken? Well, because it is so much more than just a mallard chicken:
– Bjärekyckling is completely free from antibiotics and antibiotic-like substances.
– We only have half the space in our chicken cages compared to the Swedish standard. This means that the birds have plenty of space to move around.
– At the turn of the year, we became the first in Sweden to raise the slowly growing Rowan Ranger chicken. Allowing the chickens to grow slowly at their own pace ensures they have good health.
– Our chickens eat an entirely vegetable-based GMO-free feed, with corn as the main ingredient, grown in the Glumslöv hills just south of Helsingborg. No fish meal here, either!
– We never add brine to our products. An unrefined product from Bjärefågel contains only chicken, and nothing else.
-We handle all the chickens with two hands before transport. This means that when we lift them, we always have two hands to hold both the body and the wings. In this way, we ensure that they are in good condition.
– We are the only chicken producer that is certified by Swedish Sigill. We are also certified by Swedish Fågel.
That's the difference between May Chicken and Bjäre Chicken!
That's why it's called Bjärekyckling!
